Challenge Overview

While consumer needs and shopping habits continue to evolve, the final touchpoint for a brand in the path to purchase is the product. A product’s packaging is the pivotal opportunity to express the essence of the brand. It must not only solve a functional need, but also engage consumers and serve as an extension of the brand’s voice.

The Challenge

With Perennial | DCM’s experience in supporting clients from business strategy to design to brand delivery, building a product packaging capability is a logical extension of our business. Evaluate the market opportunity, determine the entry point, and develop a go-to-market strategy for a packaging business

Elements to Consider

A couple elements to keep in mind when you and your team are developing the solution:

  • Be creative—we celebrate unique ideas 
  • Consider the role of product packaging in a consumer’s purchasing decision across different channels
  • Articulate the why but focus on the how 
  • Ensure the solution aligns with the Perennial | DCM strategic priorities
  • Consider the financial investment and success metrics
